Hi all,
My recent activity with Live For Speed caused a new category to open. Check out the Portfolio page to see the LFS Skin section!

New category added!
A new category has been added to the portfolio, called 'Maps'.
This is where I will put images of any Counter-Strike/Sourceforts maps I'm making. And possibly some texture maps for LFS cars. Not sure yet
There's only one entry sofar, but more to come
And if you're there, check out the Murciélago and M6. A few new renders to look at

Busy bumble bee
Buzz buzz... I'm so busy lately! Argh!
Busy with school, busy with work, busy with all other things. Except busy with CGI. Well, I'm busy doing CGI, but not the things I should be busy with. In the past 7 days, I've spend more time watching video tutorials than I've spend time in front of the tv in my whole life. This is frightening.
I usually hate video tutorials. I always think 'practise makes perfect'. It does - don't think it doesn't. But somehow you need just that tiny bit of extra information to begin practising. And that's something I really dislike. I want to practise by myself, not doing something that some guy (who is, by the way, genious!) is telling me to do. But anyway, it helps in a way. I get to learn new stuff about animating, practising with it, and finally put it on the shelf and never look back for it again. It always works that way in my life. I do things, I enjoy them at that moment, but a few days later I already forgot that I learned something. Learned what? Exactly.
Somewhat the same goes for modeling. I begin to model something because I've seen something nice to model that day. Second day I think about it again, but don't feel like working it out at that moment. Third day, er.. What did I do?
I guess my Citroën 2CV have to be done by monday, right? Guess how far I am? Exactly, I don't even remember. So far for the second contest I did not finish. And yet again: both the Scirocco GT Scala and the 2CV will come.
If I don't forget, that is.

Boredom
I was working behind my computer the other day, and I had this desire to start a few dozen new models. I have tons of unfinished ones, I know. If I hadn't, I wouldn't be me. So I was thinking: should I continue any project? The Alfa Romeo BAT7 for instance? Or continue the Vauxhall Vectra B? Perhaps even start the interior of the Ferrari Dino 246GTS..
Oh what the heck; let's start a new model! So I started to model a caravan. As this was always on my to-do list, yesterday seemed like a good time to actually start doing it. That's when I started to look for pictures. I had a specific type in my head: old, wave plated, and small. After a small search, I decided to do the Chateau 320 Touring. This one, that is.
My goal is to keep it below 2000 triangles. I thought that would be quite tough, since there's need of an undercarriage, wheels, interior, etc. After ten minutes of modeling - having done the body and watertank (I think) - it didn't even pass the 200.
I will continue to work on this, and finish it for a change. Haven't done that in a while now. Texturing takes up most of the time probably, but it shouldn't take too long.
What boredom can do with you...

Internet update
I finally ordered some antenna cables, so in the next two weeks I should be able to be online again. This will mean more on MSN & SMCars, but also more modeling work from me.
As some of you know, I planned doing a Volkswagen Scirocco MkII GT for a competition. I failed to even start on it, but I will make it anyway.
Also, there's a special car on the way! The Alfa Romeo BAT 7
Hope to be online soon!
